Research and Educational Forums of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication

The Faculty of Journalism and Mass Media organizes national and international scientific conferences, discussions, scientific and presentation training seminars, meetings with experts and practitioners, and open lectures.
FWMK periodically holds scientific conferences and meetings with visiting experts from foreign universities and journalists from the media with the assistance of funds such as the Research Fund at SU, Friedrich Ebert, Konrad Adenauer, etc.

So far, hundreds of Bulgarian lecturers, PhD students, and students from Bulgarian universities have participated in these conferences. Students from Sofia University, students from Sofia University, students from Sofia University, students from Sofia University. Ohridski University, Shumen University "Bishop Konstantin Preslavski", Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", Veliko Tarnovo University "St. Cyril and Methodius University, Technical University of Sofia, New Bulgarian University, Rousse University "Angel Kanchev", Southwest University "Neofit Rilski", institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Scientific Center for Bulgarian National Strategy, many journalists and PR specialists.

Guests of the conferences were foreign scholars and PhD students, journalists, and PR specialists from other different European countries: Austria, Albania, Germany, Greece, Estonia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro, Finland, Czech Republic, USA, UK, Ireland, Portugal and Croatia. Among them are leading European scholars in the field of public communication such as Prof. Dr. Michael Kunczyk, Prof. Dr. Roland Burkart, Prof. Dr. Barbara Berns, Prof. Dr. Manfred Rühl, Prof. Dr. Günther Bentele, Prof. Dr. Bernd Schorb, Prof. Dr. Jako Lehtonen, Prof. Dr. Mirolyub Radojkovic, Prof. Dr. Branimir Stojkovic, etc.
