FJMC in 2024 is again a leader in the ranking of universities in Bulgaria

On the eve of its 50th anniversary, the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication again tops the ranking in the professional field of "Public Communications and Information Sciences" in the fourteenth edition of the Rating System of Higher Education Institutions in Bulgaria with up-to-date information from 2024 - with a big difference compared to the next UNIBIT, AUB, and others.

FJMC trains students in 4 bachelor's degree programs, three of which are in the top six of applicants' wishes, 17 master's degree programs, most of them unique in Bulgaria, and a doctoral program in Media and Communication, whose prestige among students and teachers is eloquently demonstrated by the ranking data.

Also categorical is FJMC's lead in research.

The rating system collects and aggregates data on nearly 100 indicators that measure various aspects of the activity of higher education institutions, including the learning process, the learning environment, social and administrative services, scientific work, prestige, as well as graduates' realization of the labor market and regional relevance. These indicators are based on statistical data collected from various sources, including sociological surveys. Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" occupies the first place in 22 professional fields in which it trains students - "Biological Sciences", "Biotechnologies", "Economics", "Informatics and Computer Science", "History and Archaeology", "Mathematics", "Earth Sciences", "Public Communications and Information Sciences", "Pedagogy", "Pedagogy of Education in... ", "Political Sciences", "Law", "Psychology", "Religion and Theology", "Social Activities", "Sociology, Anthropology, and Cultural Sciences", "Theory and Management of Education", "Tourism", "Physical Sciences", "Philology", "Philosophy" and "Chemical Sciences", in the next edition of the Rating System of Higher Education Institutions in Bulgaria with up-to-date information from 2024.
