MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS. Scientific bibliography
1990–2022

The first thematic bibliography of scientific publications by university lecturers and researchers in Bulgaria on specific topics—communications, media, journalism, public communications, and publishing—is presented. For the first time, the scope of the scientific basis of education for journalists and other media and communication professions in Bulgaria from the beginning of democracy in 1990 to 2022 has been outlined. It should be noted that in all former socialist countries in Europe, the period of journalism education after 1990 is considered more important. The methodological thesis pursued is that of understanding the bibliography as a cumulative book with condensed knowledge about a given area of life and as a mediator in the knowledge society. This publication is made possible thanks to the financial support of the National Science Fund "Scientific Research" at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria within the framework of Grant (contract No. KP-06-NP3/56 of 22.11.2021) under the competition "Bulgarian Scientific Periodicals. 2022".
