The faculty receives an excellent rating from the NAOA for the next four years
The Accreditation Council of the NAOA unanimously awarded a rating of 9.52 to 30 majors in field 3.5 "Public Communications and Information Sciences" at Sofia University. Of these, 23 are in the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication (4 for bachelor's degrees and 19 for master's degrees).
With this rating, our majors receive accreditation for quality education at the European level for the next 4 years.
Sofia University and FJMC are ranked first in the field of "Public Communications and Information Sciences" in the country, with a significant lead over the second-ranked institution in the field.
Only Sofia University and FJMC have shown steady growth in program accreditation indicators over the past three years, reflecting the stable development of the Faculty and the continuous improvement in the quality of educational and research activities.
The new rating is 14 tenths higher than the previous one in 2019, when training in professional field 3.5 at Sofia University was rated 9.38.
Currently, FJMC leads three independent academic rankings:
