Lora Tarkoleva
Lora Tarkoleva joined the Radio and Television Department in 2025. She holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism (specializing in Television) from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (2011) and a master's degree from the trinational program "Media, Communication, Culture" between Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski," European University "Viadrina," Frankfurt (Oder) and the University of Sofia Antipolis, Nice (2013). From 2023 to 2026, she is a doctoral student at the Department of Radio and Television. In 2024, she won second prize in the national final of the Francophone competition "My Thesis in 180 Seconds."
Lora Tarkoleva has ten years of experience as a journalist at the national private radio station Focus and the public Bulgarian National Radio. Almost her entire professional career has been spent on the Horizon program. She also has experience as a PR specialist in the Bulgarian office of an international agency, as well as in the non-governmental sector in Bulgaria. In 2022, Tarkoleva won first prize in the Radio category of the Div Kesten competition (for projects dedicated to the environment and biodiversity), as well as second prize in the Journalism for Development competition (for a report on the integration of Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria).
Since 2025, she has been a member of the editorial board of the scientific e-magazine "Medialog."
She speaks English and French and has a basic knowledge of German.
